Mentoring Program
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science mentoring program has been established to provide leadership and direction to our students from a real-world perspective. The mentors offer guidance, counsel and networking opportunities for students beginning in their fifth semester or start of their junior year. Ideally, the structured mentoring program continues for two years until the student graduates.
The program offers the opportunity for students to explore the various opportunities available to them following graduation as well as providing information to ensure that they are choosing a specialization appropriate to their interests. The mentoring relationship is evaluated every semester and adjusted if needed. Students and alumni mentors are matched based on their background and interests and interact on a one-to-one basis to assist the student with their academic and professional development.
Typically, mentors will be matched with students at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
Students can register by completing the on-line form on the Student Registration page of the website. Likewise, alumni can register by completing the on-line form on the Mentor Registration page of the website.
